LABSA 96% stands for Linear Alkylbenzene Sulphonic Acid (96% purity). It’s a widely used industrial chemical, mainly in the detergent and cleaning products industry.

LABSA is an anionic surfactant that means it helps break down oils, grease, and dirt so they can be washed away with water.

What 96% means

The 96% refers to the active matter content:

~96% LABSA (active ingredient)

~4% water and minor impurities

Higher purity generally means stronger cleaning performance and more consistent quality in formulations.

Important note

LABSA is usually neutralized (commonly with sodium hydroxide) to form linear alkylbenzene sulfonate (LAS), which is the actual cleaning agent used in finished products.
