What Is Bitumen 60/70?

Bitumen 60/70 refers to a penetration-grade bitumen with a penetration value between 60–70 (measured in decimillimeters), offering an optimal balance between hardness and flexibility.

It’s commonly used for road paving, airport runways, bridges, waterproofing, and roofing—especially well-suited for Vietnam’s hot and humid climate.

Softening point: ~49–56 °C

Ductility: > 100 cm at 25 °C

Flash point: > 230 °C

Viscosity at 60 °C: 800–1200 Poise

Recent Export Shipments to Vietnam

January 2025: Exported 25 × 20-foot containers (500 metric tons) of Bitumen 60/70 to Haiphong Port. The bitumen was packed in steel drums and carefully shipped with real-time tracking and quality checks.

May 2025: Another shipment of 50 × 20-foot containers (1000+ metric tons) arrived in Vietnam. This was timed just ahead of the monsoon, when construction activity peaks. Each batch maintained consistency and conformed to ASTM and AASHTO standards, backed by Certificates of Analysis.

December 2024: An additional shipment was made, further highlighting growing demand. Aras Petrochemical plans to double its exports to Vietnam by Q4 2025, explore setting up local packaging, establish distribution centers, and extend customer services in key cities.
